NBA FIT Philippines 2011 with Head Coach of Miami Heat

I missed to attend the previous event of NBA FIT Philippines. Good thing, It back here in the country again.

NBA FIT returns for its second year to promote the NBA’s global comprehensive health and wellness program that encourages physical activity and healthy living for children and families. The bigger and better NBA FIT Philippines 2011 features 14 days of mass exercise drills, basketball games, sports clinics, nutrition seminars and skills demonstrations held in schools and special mall tours, with hundreds of participants expected to join at each stop. Local fitness and health experts and celebrities share their knowledge and experience at NBA FIT venues.

The program, headlined by Filipino-American Miami Heat Head Coach Erik Spoelstra Photo from NBA.com/Philippinesand his coaching staff, aims to educate individuals and families on the physical, mental and emotional benefits of healthy living. A variety of events and activities including an NBA-caliber Development Camp for elite athletes, an NBA FIT Celebrity Challenge and an NBA FIT Fun Run for the whole family are the high points of the program which runs from July 25 to August 7, 2011.

Official partners of the NBA FIT Philippines 2011 include Gatorade, Energen, Air21, Head & Shoulders, Alaska, Sanofi-Aventis and Philippine Airlines. Media partners supporting the camp are Basketball TV, Studio 23 and NBA Premium TV. Partners in sport include Run Rio and Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP). Venue partners are SM Malls and Araneta Center. Community partners endorsing the program include the Department of Health, and the Food and Nutrition Research Institute.
